Garry Williams

Drums

About Garry Williams:

Garry has always liked to bang on things, but actually started playing drums at age 12. His father is Texas Rockabilly Hall of Fame inductee Lew Williams, as music runs in his family. In the late 1980s he played percussion part-time for the Waco Symphony Orchestra, backing notable artists such as Shirley Jones and later transferred to the University of North Texas for jazz studies. Today, Garry continues to work with groups of varying musical styles ranging from roots blues, swing to R&B and funk; including the following Bay Area groups: Bohemian Knuckleboogie, MB Hanif and the Sound Voyagers, Bryan Campbel's Jazz Soup, Ralph Woodson, The Lone Star Retrobates, Big B and His Snake Oil Saviors, JP and the Rhythm Chasers, the Cole Alanson Trio
