Ben Levine

Ben Levine is an accomplished bassist who has worked as a bandleader, sideman, producer, and educator.  After getting a Master's Degree in Jazz Studies from USC, Ben spent 6 years touring the US with the Drew Davis Band.  In 2009 when the Drew Davis Band finished it's run, Ben moved to Nashville where he worked for a host of country artists.  Former American Idol Josh Gracin, 7 time #1 hit maker Mark Wills, and two time Country Music Entertainer of the Year Neal McCoy each had Ben laying down their bass lines.  In addition to his touring career, Ben's soulful and intuitive playing has appeared on numerous albums as well as recordings for film and television.  The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet used Ben as a featured guest artist on their Grammy-Winning album "Guitar Heroes".  Ben also is a founding member and producer for the genre-busting bluegrass band "Honeywagon" who's 2003 album "Green Day Blue Grass" hit #3 on the Billboard Bluegrass Album Charts.  Today, Ben lives in Oakland where he is an in-demand bassist happily performing with DC Power and Electric Company as well as several other local acts.
