Dave Cannaday

grew up in a musical household in

Peoria Illinois. With a musician as a

father Dave's first appearance on stage

was at the age of five as a vocalist.

As a young musician he was awarded

five first place medals in state competitions.

Upon moving to California at sixteen years old

Dave quickly became part of the thriving

Bay Area music scene gaining an award for

"outstanding musicianship" by the National Association

if Jazz Educators. Upon coming age he left school

where he was studying music to go on the road as a

full time musician playing the United States

and abroad. More recently, with San Francisco as a base,

Dave has become one of the more recognizable  

blues guitarist in the region.

In 2005 he placed in the top of a national guitar contest

and has also won the title of

San Francisco "King if the Blues" in four different years. In

his most recent effort, "DC Power and Electric Company",

Dave Cannaday showcases a brotherhood

with top Bay Area  players,

smoldering psychedelic blues guitar,

vivid vocal harmonies and a lifetime worth of passion for music.
